Aquamid™ is a non re-absorbable, lasting product for facial correction which will not get hard once injected and which does not migrate from the point of injection. Scientific research has shown that the gel will stay in its place unchanged for at least 10 years and there is no reason to expect any changes after this period. When the cosmetic results is satisfying for both the medical practitioner and the patient, the procedure does not have to be repeated. (In 80% of cases this is after 1-2 procedures). Some other products have to be repeated from time to time and the usual ageing of the skin will go on unfortunately. If required, extra Aquamid™ can be injected as and when necessary.
