The Aptos Threads Lift : A Non-Surgical Face-Lift

Aptos threads provide support and lift for the face. In the case of older skin with loss of elasticity and looser skin, Aptos threads can be anchored or threaded under the skin by making a small incision under the hairline near the ear for treating jowls and saggy skin of the lower face. They may be threaded under the hairline at the front to achieve a brow-lift.

The procedure is to make a small incision under the hairline and the Aptos thread is inserted through this incision. The threads are then adjusted to the correct tension required for lifting the skin to the desired level and then sutured (stitched) deep in the skin.

Basically the Aptos Threads Lift-PLUS is the same procedure as an Aptos Threads Lift. In addition, an incision is made in front of the ear, the skin is lifted up and excess skin is removed. Aptos threads are inserted directly into the top of the muscle layers of the face by direct vision enabling correct placement. The threads are then adjusted for the right tension and are anchored to the deep skin.

The results are immediate and very impressive with reduction of droopy jowls, gentle tightening of the skin and reduction of those deep lines from the nose to the corner of the mouth as well as cheek wrinkles.

When combined with a brow-lift technique, the results are close to the effect of a full face-lift. In addition, after a few days, Aquamid™ dermal filler may be injected into any remaining wrinkles.
